AAR Corp and the Hot Springs Metro Partnership are working together to host the Industrial Technologies Job Fair on Tuesday, August 4th from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the AAR A-3 Hangar at the Hot Springs Memorial Field Airport. The job fair is being organized in response to the recent announcement that AAR Corp will be moving operations to its Oklahoma City location by the end of August.

Over 40 aerospace and manufacturing companies from across the state have been invited to attend the job fair to help former AAR employees identify what options are available to them. The enormous skill set of these employees can be carried over to many different industries, helping to fill the current workforce needs in the Hot Springs Region and across the state.

“This job fair presents an opportunity for those affected by an unfortunate situation experienced by one of our local employers to secure future employment and it also presents an opportunity to showcase our airport to those companies participating in the job fair,” states Jim Fram, President and CEO of the Hot Springs Metro Partnership.

The Hot Springs Metro Partnership is the area’s public/private economic development organization, serving all of the Hot Springs region. The Partnership’s main goals include 1) Hot Springs Downtown, 2) Business Retention and Expansion throughout the region, 3) Talent, with its implication for the workforce generally and technical skills in particular; and 4) Quality of Place, emphasizing the amenities of the area and their economic potential.
